OBLIECHT

On the outside, much has remained the same. The down-flowing songs with their swirls at the edges, the submerging, surfacing, and re-emerging figures, the patterns of dulcimer and drum flowing into one another, the synths and guitars with their waves.

On the inside, Obliecht has transformed: The 'I' has become a 'we'. Initially, the project was a relatively private space where Donat explored biographical themes and shared them as demos. Gradually, it has evolved into a space where Anuk and Donat collaboratively write songs. The new EP documents the search for a common language: sitting down, waiting, listening, saying something, standing up, walking around the room, looking out the window, observing seedlings, sitting down again, trying to understand, and trying everything again, but with different words.

In the studio and on stage, Obliecht continues to stand together with Elias, becoming even closer as a band. The new EP was created over two summer days in April, at Timo Keller's studio in Lucerne.
